Mr Ray and I had been on a pretty long tour opening for the Sugarcubes. They would often come out for our set and play on a couple of songs. There was plenty of love and booze and we all laughed, hugged and passed out. Anywho, this recording came about at the end of it all in some studio in New York City. It was somebody’s idea and it was a good one. They are a wonderful, lovely, looney crew. ‘Alt got sem ender vell’ or something like that…..The cover picture is the great Oscar Robertson who was kind enough to give his permission. - Mark Mulcahy -
